Say cheeeeese 🧀🧀🧀 Is cheese good or bad? It’s a question that I’m often being asked! The way I look at it, one cheese is not another cheese and it all boils down to what has gone in it & how it’s been processed. I personally keep my cheese consumption to a minimum because there’s little (actually nothing!) in there I really need from a nutritional point of view but let’s face it, I love the taste of it! 😋 So when I do crave it, I’ll rather go for cheese that is made on goat or sheep milk. Not only because I digest these milks better than cow milk but also because goat & sheep cheese tend to be less industrialized than cheeses that are made on cow’s milk, thus less filled with crap 😝 Also, I feel better eating a cheese that comes from a goat 🐐 that has been roaming the mountains rather than a cow that has been locked up in a factory, pumped with hormones & antibiotics and probably never seen the light of the day ☹️ When I buy my goat cheese, I try to find one that’s made from a small producer, preferably a local one. Yes it might be pricier but the flavor and the fact that the animals are more likely to have roamed around a mountain and be antibiotic & hormone free is well worth the price tag for me! ✅ Also, if you make cheese something you indulge in on an occasional basis rather than a daily basis, it frees up some cash 💰 to buy the really good stuff. So all in all, just remember that all cheeses aren’t created equal and that it’s something to be enjoyed occasionally rather than daily as part of a balanced diet! Be mindful of where you buy your cheese from. Support small producers and those who treat their animals right! The link to this recipe is in my bio!
