🔥HOW CARDIO HELPS/DOESN’T HELP WITH FAT LOSS🔥

The one of the first misconceptions about fitness and weight loss is that cardio is your ultimate weapon and that you should do tons of it if you want to lose fat. Although cardio is helpful, many people don’t know why and believe that if they do excessive amount of cardio, they are also allowed to eat as much as they want. This is why I wanted to explain how exactly cardio helps with your fat loss. –
All cardio does is burning extra few hundred calories. People approximately burn 200-400 extra calories with it, which equals some small snack, like a chocolate bar, a muffin, or similar. If you ate 200-400 over your maintenance calories, you will stay on maintenance (not be in deficit) and therefore you won’t lose weight. 🙄

However, if you eat your maintenance calories (let’s say 2000) and burn extra 200-400 calories, it is useful since now you are in calorie deficit and will lose weight. 😊

What most people do is going way over their maintenance calories (1000+) and only burn a few hundred with cardio, which means that they will actually be in caloric surplus, and therefore gain weight. 🤔

Also, I have to add that you shouldn’t rely on cardio tracker because they often say that you burned way more calories than you did. 👍

To conclude, what matters the most is to count your calories, eat enough protein, and do strength training. If you are in calorie deficit you are going to lose fat, and cardio is just a tool you can use if you want to burn some extra calories. Don’t fool yourself into believing that you can eat as much as you want if you did some cardio today, and focus on what is truly important. Good luck.
